Computer and Internet Use

Computer and Internet Use

To fullfill the mission, the Kirbyville Public Library provides a broad range of information resources.  The Internet, as an information source, enables the library to provide information beyond the confines of its own collection.

The Internet allows access to many valuable local, national, and international sources of information.  However, the Internet is a global entity with a highly diverse user population and information content.  Currently, it is an unregulated medium.  As such, it enables access to some materials that may be offensive, disturbing, and or illegal.  Not all sources on the Internet porvide accurate, complete, or current information.  Library patrons use it at their own risk.  The library is not responsible for the protection of users from information that is incorrect or offensive in any manner.

  • To use library computers and Internet you must obtain a library card.
  • Parents/guardians of child(ren) under age 18 must sign a statement granting access to Internet.
  • All computer users must sign in at Circulation Desk before and sign out after computer session.
