Kirbyville Library Rocks!!
This is our Summer 2018 Starting Line Up for June. Check back to see if new items have been added.

Storytime is coming back to Kirbyville Library! Join the Read Aloud Crowd. Wednesdays at 10am.

Volunteers High School age (looks good on those college applications and Honor Society Hours) and older are needed to read to kids. Call to schedule your day. You need do only one day and you may pick your book.

 

Here is the Summer Starting Line-Up for Kirbyville Library Activities in June.  All programs start at 10am unless otherwise noted:

 

June 5th Miss Texas High School Rodeo Abbie Suggs (Crown and all) will come and read a story. Come find out why “Kindness is Key” with our Read Aloud Crowd.

 

June 8th Art-To-Go from Art Museum of Southeast Texas will be here to do projects with our young patrons.

 

June 13th Germs on the Go will teach kids how germs are passed by hand/object contact and the importance of hand washing.

 

June 15th Triple F Farms will be bringing some special critter friends out to visit our young patrons along with fresh veggies and a fun craft.

 

June 20th Tea Time: girls wear your hats and pearls, boys brush off your fedoras and bow ties. Bring a snack to share and the Read Aloud Crowd will have a special story followed by a “tea party”.

 

June 21st One of our favorites the Potter's Wheel will be there to allow kids 17 and under a chance to express themselves through painting a ceramic piece. Anyone else wishing to paint a piece is welcome to for the cost of supplies, $6.50 cash or check.

 

June 22nd Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologists will have a special presentation. Hint: See ya later, alligators.

 

June 28th There will be a chance to find out how your library rocks. Trivia? Singing? Name that tune? You will have to show to know.

 

June 29th Black Bear Alliance will be here to talk about bears in East Texas.
